The Sussex Sun Devils are continuing to grow. We are continually looking for players in age divisions from 10U through 16U
who have the drive and desire to play fastpitch softball at a high level. Below are a few of our most frequently asked questions.
Feel free to contact the team any additional questions that you may have.

Where do the Sun Devils Play ?
Our teams play in the MMFL ( Metro Milwaukee Fast pitch League ) and in the MGFL ( Milwaukee Girls Fast pitch League ) The
competition is extremely solid ( including many state and national level qualifiers ). We play 14 games in league play
throughout southeastern Wisconsin ( including Sussex as a home field ) and also 4-5 tournaments in the state for each team.
What is the time commitment ?
Our official winter training will begin in early January ( Nov / Dec for the Pitchers & catchers ). The first tournament we
participate in takes place in Mid-May with league games beginning in June and concluding in late July. A final tournament will
take place in early August. Training will take place once per week ( off-season ) and twice weekly beginning in late April ( once
the fields are dry ). For our pitchers, we have an additional practice most weeks for them, in addition to regular practices. Some
have individual pitching coaches as well, which is strongly encouraged.
What is the financial commitment ?
Our teams are funded exclusively by the generous support of local business as well as player dues. Each player will be
responsible for finding a team sponsor and dues per player will be approx. $ 350- $450 depending upon the costs of winter
training, tournaments, etc. This cost can be decreased significantly based upon additional sponsorship support and
participation in team fund raising projects that occur throught the year.

The Sun Devils have high standards and expectations of all of our girls. They will be pushed and stretched to new levels of
personal and athletic achievement. They will never be asked to do more than the coaching staff believes that they can achieve -
both personally and as a team. Our players are expected to operate with the highest level of respect for their coaches,
teammates and opponents. We will demand the same from our parents as well- that we function in a manner that shows class,
respect and maintains a strong environment for OUR girls to grow and achieve both on and off the field.

See you on the Diamonds !!
